The past Sunday afternoon, we were at Santa Row for Firesign outdoor concert. The band was absolutely awsome! It is formed by a couple folks at work, and I first saw their performance during our annual sales kickoff. They were a blast.

Santa Row is the most upscale shopping center in Silicon Valley. The concert took place in the plaza right around the street corner. With a grass lawn, a stone fountain, and a Starbuck on the side, the plaza is small but stylish. When we arrived, we could pick up the music even from the parking structure.

The weather could not have been more Californian, and the audience could not have been more American. When the music restarted after a break, a couple kids danced right into the empty space in front of the stage. People applauded, sang alone, and swang along. Sylvia and a bunch of little ones were waging water in the fountain. It was a relaxing, beautiful Sunday afternoon in California sunshine and music!

Yes, people have done it ages ago.

Yes, the place is crowded with people like me.

Yes, the road ahead is bumpy and filled with uncertainty.

Still, I am here, embarking on a new journey of photography and business, with a goal to enrich my life and make a tiny little difference around.

What is new: domain name, website, business license, tax id, banking account … (thanks to Bin for her full support and running around)

What remains the same: me, my family, my friends, and my faith in Him.
