Jenny is a very lovable young lady. No matter how many weddings I attend with Yong in my life (chances are it will be A LOT), I know I will always remember Jenny.
Shortly before Jenny’s wedding, we experienced a personal loss. Jenny learned about it in our email exchange. A few days later, came in the mail a beautiful sympathy card from her, a bride we only met a few weeks ago. It was a very tough period of time in my life. Her words warmed up my heart. I was so touched that almost burst into tears when I read her card.
Throughout all our interfaces with her, Jenny has always been passionate, considerate, and supportive. I mentioned briefly that Yong usually wouldn’t have much time to eat during the ceremony. She remembered it, and put a requirement down in writing to the venue saying “Please serve the photographers first”. Whoever marries Jenny must be one of the luckiest guy in the world, and that lucky guy turned out to be Jeff.
Every wedding has its most memorable moment, sometimes during vow exchange, sometimes during parents appreciation. To me, the most touching moments of Jenny and Jeff’s wedding is when the bride walked down the aisle. I was kind of expecting Jenny’s brother to walk her and give her away, because Jenny’s father need help even to stand. When the music started and door opened, standing in front of everyone were a beautiful bride and a firm-looking old Korean gentleman with a walking cane in his hand. With the support from her lovely daughter and the cane, Jenny’s father walked every inch of the aisle, taking three times as long as we would. Every step is an effort, but every step is firm and sturdy. What can better symbolize the love and support from a father who has raised a lady since her first cry out of the womb? At that moment, I began to understand what it took to bring up a loving and caring person like Jenny. It is the love and strong bonding of a family.
Jenny and Jeff’s wedding was beautiful. From the venue, to the candy buffet, the wish tree, and the cake, everything shows their taste. We are particularly impressed by the venue, Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery, which just opened in April. I probably will write up something about the winery later.
Jenny and Jeff, may God bless you as long as you live, and may God bless your marriage, and your family!
