The Vows – Tommie and Paul’s Wedding

Tommie and Paul exchanged their vows in tears.  At the moment, everyone was touched.  With their kind permission, I am sharing their vows here and hope they will remind us all of the original love that we have.

From Tommie:

Paul, when we first met, I was moved by the way you gave me a hug.  I could tell how tender your heart is, and I vow to always take care of your tender heart and support you every way that I can.

I think you’re so smart and so funny, and I cherish the time we spend alone, just being together.  I vow to always make our time together a priority.

I look forward to all of the traditions we’ll create together.  Being with you makes the holidays more exciting, and fills me with joy over every little life event.  I vow to celebrate all of our days together, and use any excuse to celebrate with you.

When we’re apart, I think about how I’ll tell you each little thing you miss.  I miss you when I’m away.  Having you to come home to means everything to me.  I vow to always share my thoughts and feelings with you, and to listen to your thoughts and feelings.

You have given me: strength, support, comfort, and joy.  I’m more confident because I have you, proud of my achievements, and I’m less afraid of pain because I know you’ll help me through anything.  I vow to be your true companion, and give you the comfort and joy you have given me.

From Paul:

Tommie Jean, the first thing I noticed when I met you was what a warm smile you have, and how you looked so happy to see me.  I always want to make you smile, and I will keep making you as happy to be with me as the first time we met.

I enjoy our moments together both big and small and I vow to make sure we cherish our time together, not just on special days, but every day.

The thing I look forward to the most about our future is being together through all of the challenges and surprises that life will bring. I vow to always give you all of my love and grow old with you.

When you are not there, I think about how much I want to hold you in my arms and kiss you.  When you’re away, I can’t go to sleep until I know you’ve gotten home safe.  I’m happy that we never have to be apart for very long.  I vow to never take our time together for granted.

You have given me everything I could ever hope for and more.  I have a partner, a best friend, and a companion all in one.  You’ve filled my heart with love, and made me whole. I vow to always comfort you, listen to you, and make you feel as special as you have made me feel.

Congratulations Tommie and Paul!  Thanks for having us for your big day!

Nikki and Ryan’s Wedding at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery

If you ask me to use one word to describe Nikki and Ryan’s wedding, I would have to pick “wild”. From the beginning to the end, it was a wild and joyful celebation. Not surprising at all that Nikki’s blog about her own wedding started with “It was soooo much fun, if I do say so myself!”

The ceremony was a half hour filled with giggles, laughters and even jokes. When Ryan was asked by father Robert to take Nikki, Ryan made a joke and father Robert replied, “I would take that as a yes”.

Not to mention the colorful details Nikki’s mom added during maid of honor toast. Those about Ryan slept in the couch for the many weekends he visited. At bouquet toss, Nikki tied four “mini-bouquets” together and when she tossed the bouquet, four people caught it! And at garner toss, grandma Nonni told three bachelors, “You are too old, you are too young, and you are too hot to play”.

The dancing floor was full for every single song throughout the night. Nonni was still hitting the dancing floor toward 9ish. She even tried to convince me to join. “How many opportunities we have to celebrate like this? We all gonna to have some fun”, she said. Well, we know where Nikki’s energy comes from.

Nikki and Ryan, thanks for letting us be part of your big day. It is absolutely a fun party!
